Ide Avenue
Present Day East Providence Rhode Island (formerly Seekonk Massachusets)
Seekonk was George A. Ide’s Birthplace. His father William T. Ide had a successful farm in the area prior to moving to Iowa.
Ide Avenue shows at the center of the map (by the star). Also notice Waterman Avenue in the upper right. Nancy Waterman (married Augustus Winsor) was George A. Ide’s maternal great grandmother. Augustus Winsor’s great great grandfather was Roger Williams. Below is a view of where E. Providence sits relative to Providence and the Narragansett Bay.

Rehoboth is where 6 generations of Ide’s lived, beginning with Nicholas Ide who came from England in 1636.
